1-People do you guys have a sample of Tax transcript? it seems that my wife have tax return instead of tax transcript.

2- my wife will subm,it 2009,2010,2011 and our joint sponsor will submit 2008,2009,2010 as she have not filed tax for 2011 yet, is that ok?

Lizka showed her yours (albeit it being a fax).

And that's fine for the years. As long as everything is in order (all correct forms/documentation) is included, then it will be accepted.

And by the way, just to make sure, you have your joint sponsor's proof of US citizenship/residency, correct?

this is what mine looks like, it was faxed over, it says on top form 1040 or 1040A, both use total income. not sure if you should both file 2011 or 2010 for uniformity, i'm in the same dilemma. i filed 2011 but my joint sponsor has not yet done so

Like I told rujby, as long as everything is in order, then it's okay that you send 2011, but your joint sponsor doesn't. Try to have your joint sponsor file asap though so you can have their tax return transcript for the interview.

Can we get tax transcript at the local office?

Yes. If it's nearby for you, this is the fastest way to get tax return transcripts.

Now here is the part I had not looked into in depth, once we have case complete what are we suppose to wait for, i know its a packet but what will beneficiery get? :bonk:

Read post 1 & 2. B-)

After the case is completed, what happens?

In most cases: the case is put in a queue to get an interview date scheduled. Once an interview date is scheduled, the case is shipped out to the consulate/embassy.

Who should I be calling to find out my interview date?

You should be calling both NVC and DOS. Both have access to your case information. Their numbers are linked above.

How long does it take to get an interview date after a case complete?

This varies by country and consulate/embassy. Some people find out within a day or two, others a few weeks, then the few unfortunate that wait a few months (ex: Ghana). To get the best estimate for YOUR country is to search, using the timeline feature, when others got case completes and when they got their interview dates scheduled.

When do interview dates get scheduled?

If you talk to operators at NVC, they'll always tell you they ONLY schedule during the second week of each month. This is a LIE. They schedule interviews ALL month long. Many people (like myself) have gotten scheduled during the last week of the month. I repeat, they schedule ALL month long.

How long does it take for NVC to mail my case out after getting an interview date scheduled?

Usually it's the next day, but it can take up to a week or more in rare cases.

I just want to have a sample of this form to ensure between my wife and the joint sponsor who has the incorrect form. This driving me crazy i am not even there to see with my eyes

If you can be patient, I can upload a copy of my husband's tax return transcript that we submitted in about an hour after I eat something first.

Now here is the part I had not looked into in depth, once we have case complete what are we suppose to wait for, i know its a packet but what will beneficiery get? :bonk:

Both you and the beneficiary will get an interview package. In the PDF, it includes the interview letter (stating the time, date, location), as well as a checklist for what you need to bring, as well as some other useful information. You can view mine here: http://s128.photobucket.com/albums/p174/smurf47/Immigration/NVC%20interview%20email/

No need to go the tax preparer as they CANNOT help; they don't work for IRS. And yes, it's 100% free of charge.

Hmm. You would think the current marriage certificate and then divorce decrees for previous marriages would be accepted. I'd suggest calling up NVC and inquire about this. And if you do, make sure you call AT LEAST five times. Operators will always differ in their answers, so don't just go with one operator's answer.

Also, I'm not sure if this is possible after a divorce, but can you go to the county's courthouse and request a certified copy of your previous marriages?

I am not sure if it is possible to request a certified copy and I do not know if my parents can do this for me (I was previously married in my country). I do have the original divorce decree and I do believe that this is what they should need besides my current marriage certificate; however, the logic does not always work with NVC, right?

Can I call NVC before I receive NOA2 and before even have a case number and IIN to ask them about IV package documents?

Yes, that's why I suggested calling. But what you have should be sufficient for them.

And yes, you should be able to call them about inquiries. If not, you could always email them as well (include all your info in the email: USCIS number, names, DOBs, emails).

I know he asked me two or three things, but the one I remember was that he asked me "what type of petition was filed? Was it an I-129F, I-130 or something different?". It's probably insignificant but that stuck out as...hmm, no one in 2 weeks has asked that! What's the deal?

I just called to check on our case and I was also asked what type of petition was filed, first time for me as well. This person sounded like he was reading from a script. He went on to tell me the 10-20 business day line and even told me when 10-20 business days would be. He did leave me with a ray of hope at the end of the call when he said I should call back on 3/19. I plan on calling tonight, just in case.

I was hoping the NVC phase would go a little faster, but with the luck we've had up to this point i'm not surprised that we aren't moving faster. Fortunately I have everything ready to go for the AOS and IV, just need the NVC to do their part.
