My apologies - I answered a specific post, for a petitioner with 2 casefiles at NVC, headed to Guangzhou Immigrant Visa Unit; where the petitioner has opted in to NVC Electronic Processing.

Yer gonna interview in Madrid, Spain, so my post (in response to another human) is in no-way pertinent to you.

The process is different for NVC Electronic Processing casefile types, when compared to 'paper-submittal' casefile types.

Spain does not participate in the NVC Electronic Processing Program, alas.

I've no idea why you are responding to my post responding to another person's post.

What's up?

i'm lost and confused and juggling two jobs and full time grad courseload plus this, so it's safe to say i'm completely insane and looking for ways to complicate the process when i'm almost completely done with it, thanks for the clarification, i will think twice before wandering in the wrong forums :bonk:

Most of that other income isn't reportable on the 1040EZ, but is reportable on the 1040 with other forms.

Those folksen required to file the 1040 instead of the 1040EZ should know this, already,

unless it's the first year to receive appreciable income from these other sources (non-w2-income).

for an embassy location of 'N/A' ? absolutely true !

Guys sorry I will fill in my timeline as soon as time permits me. The embassy where my wife resides is Algiers, Algeria.

Also when I call the NVC number I do not get the option for the AVR anymore.

Sorry, the physical casefile has to wind it's way

from

USCIS holding tank

into the USCIS mailroom

then onto a common carrier (mixed with a ton of other casefiles)

then onto the loading dock at NVC,

then the roustabouts have to unload the crate at the loading dock,

then the casefile has a 'first level sort' at NVC.

Finally, the casefile is opened, viewed by a human, a data entry operator. A Flag is made in the electronic Record at NVC, that the casefile is physically there.

About a week later, NVC wants to hear from the USCitizen Petitioner (when following LingChe on the wiki)

I don't think USCIS does electronic shipping of cases. it's all hard copies going to NVC, and then they have to scan them in. Electronic shipping would be WAY more cost/time efficient, so it's probably out of the question for them.

I was also ecstatic when I found real maple syrup in Hawaii, not just "table syrup." Saturday breakfasts: eggs and bacon cooked in a touch of maple syrup. It was just like being at home, haha. God, now I want French toast too. This thread is making me hungry
