You have to keep in mind, you don't receive an email the instant it's generated. There's a few days lag. It's like this with all emails sent from NVC.

It's strange that it was a checklist, isn't it? Or did they change it? My IV fee bill email subject was " [case #] AIVF for Neopost DS-1200"

CR1 Visa

USCIS STAGE: 16 days No expedite request but USC residing abroad
NVC STAGE: 19 days from case # to case complete
03/27/12: interview at Paris embassy - APPROVED
04/12/12: POE San Diego

ROC
01/15/14: sent I-751 application

05/14/14: received card production notification by e-mail, approval date 05/13

Naturalization

02/09/24: received NOA1 by mail

02/10/24: received biometrics reuse notice by mail

04/08/24: interview scheduled for 05/14. Received "We have taken an action in your case" email.

05/14/24: approved at interview, same-day oath ceremony in San Francisco 🥳 🇺🇸

Passport

Are you saying that the email could have been sent few days ago but stays in their special "NVC-queue"? and gets sent some time later?

but in this case GoingCrazy2012 just got the invoice yesterday and paid yesterday and shows as Paid today.

also if IV bill was only invoiced yesterday and GoinCrazy2012 hasn't even mailed the IV package yet, so how can NVC system send checklist for IV payment?

In anycase.... now i've confused myself

You are absolutely right VisaJourney2011 and you get my point. It makes no sense whatsoever

It's strange that it was a checklist, isn't it? Or did they change it? My IV fee bill email subject was " [case #] AIVF for Neopost DS-1200"

No. You're right I did get that email you mentioned yesterday (when the actual bill was generated) but this one said "Checklist" asking for just the payment (which was already made yesterday) LMAO!

MMM Thanks for the clarification. It is the first time in my life I have heard of known of "e-mails lagging behind a few days." I'm sorry but I just find that concept kind of funny

Oh, I know, it's ridiculous. Only at NVC headbonk.gif

Boooo...just called NVC to see about a case number. Saylin, looks like you were right - not today :P I got the "your case is here, but it's waiting to be processed, give us 10-20 days" lol. SIGH, all excited today for nothin! :)

I'd say call once more, around 11:30 EST.

...

Yes, that's what I'm saying; it gets generated a few days ago, but only gets sent out later on. I see it happen all the time with all the correspondence from NVC. Nothing is "instant" there.

It's strange that it was a checklist, isn't it? Or did they change it? My IV fee bill email subject was " [case #] AIVF for Neopost DS-1200"

It was most likely a checklist because they reviewed the AOS package and realised the IV package hasn't been reviewed. But then they noticed the IV bill wasn't even paid, so they sent a checklist for that.

For my case, the IV bill email received at 2PM and email of Checklist for IV payment received at 5PM same day, just after 3 hours! I considered it as "False" RFE which is just to remind you for the payment. I got the impression from NVC operator that it is system auto-generated after IV invoiced.

The guy who designed that system probably died of a headache :bonk:

Currently on standby waiting for an envelope from my wife that has the DS-230 page 2 with her signatures and the passport photos to complete the IV package. I must confess that this caught me off guard because I never thought that NVC stage was going to be roll so quick. We're expecting to receive the envelope anytime between tomorrow and Monday. Praying!! :innocent:

So I was wondering if anyone knows... Do these NVC officers really work and REVIEW cases till midnight?! Or are there just operators working till midnight? The only reason I ask is because I am wondering what are the odds I will get a different response at 11:30 EST than the response i got at 4:00 EST. I would assume they would stop reviewing cases a lot earlier than midnight. Just curious... ??

Very good question! I personally think that being a Government entity, NVC Officers only work during normal business hours and only the operators work until midnight
