Thanks but I have a problem with that item then, and I would like to ask for you advice to see what options I have to resolve my issue.

It happens that, that same page where 31a is located at (Part 1 of DS-230, page 2) is the same page where beneficiary (my wife) signs and she has actually just sent me that piece of paper with her signature via snail mail (last Monday) with my name on 31a.

Can she retype the form, sign it, scan it as a PDF, and send it to me via email, OR does that Page HAS TO HAVE her Original Signature on it?

I interpreted that question the same way you did so I put my own name there. Whoever reviewed our IV packet accepted it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a fairly common "error". That said, Saylin's advice of bringing a corrected DS-230 to the interview is logical. Just in case.

Not having the form in front of me I don't recall.. but is this on the same page as the signatures? If not, can't you just print a corrected version of that page?

Wow, that's a large image laughing.gif

But, yeah, where it says "account transcript" it should be "tax return transcript", and the rest of the form should look different.

I'm at school at the moment, but once I get home this afternoon, I'll take my husband's tax return transcript, blank out the info, and upload it to show you what it should look like.

thank you so much, but i think i actually got it, had them fax it in for me, it's several sheets, looks like this...

EP shouldn't affect the invoicing of the AOS bill at all... Maybe requesting a supervisor and explaining your situation might help.

And side-question, what's the status on submitting the DS-261 (online choice of agent form)?

spoke to a supervisor, she said when a case number gets reassigned they need to physically relabel everything, which hasn't been done yet, so we're looking to receive the bills early next week.

ds-261 says completed. we submitted it on the same day we got the correct case number.

maybe we'll call again and request for them to speed it up since it's not our fault that a wrong number was assigned.

I think I will send it like that and as a precautionary measure have my wife bring a corrected DS-230 to the Interview in the event they ask her to correct block 31a. Thanks!

P.S: I'm skeptical about drawing a line through my name and then have NVC reject it because of the damned line

Just keep what you have. Others have done the same thing apparently, and been fine. But I definitely suggest bringing an updated DS-230, without your name on that question, to the interview.

I hope we don't follow too closely in her footsteps since she didn't get her interview letter for 2 weeks!

It differs by country. In Canada, that's how long it usually takes to get an interview letter (I was on the longer end). But it doesn't really matter WHEN you get the date assigned, it's more important of when the interview is! Mine was less than 2 months from my CC, so I was happy :) It's possible to get the interview date assigned the day after a CC, but be months and months later. Which would you prefer? :P

thank you so much, but i think i actually got it, had them fax it in for me, it's several sheets, looks like this...

Yup, that looks much better. Mine looks a little differently, but that's probably because yours was a fax and mine was mailed. But those are the right ones regardless good.gif So, don't send the account ones, just send those return ones you got by fax.

spoke to a supervisor, she said when a case number gets reassigned they need to physically relabel everything, which hasn't been done yet, so we're looking to receive the bills early next week.

ds-261 says completed. we submitted it on the same day we got the correct case number.

maybe we'll call again and request for them to speed it up since it's not our fault that a wrong number was assigned.

Ah, that would make sense. I was thinking the delay might have been caused by NVC's mishap earlier.

If you want, after you pay all fees and submit paperwork, you can try an expedite request, saying that due to NVC's error, you wasted X amount of days for it to be fixed and you'd be grateful if the review was completed early and you were scheduled for an earlier interview date. Wouldn't hurt to try...

This is what I put:

Vanier College (Montreal, Quebec) // 08-2007 // 05-2010 // Social Science // College Diploma

Gulf Coast High School (Naples, Florida) // 08-2005 // 05-2007 // Academic // Diploma

Rosemere High School (Rosemere, Quebec) // 08-2001 // 05-2005 // Academic // None

So, just put the school name and the location (city and then state/province) in brackets. And yes, most recent first.

Thank you so much!!!!!

Remember, AOS and IV are separate tracks, so it doesn't matter what your status of the AOS is at.

Now, my question for you, when did you submit the DS-261?
