So if I havent filed 2011 tax return, sending W-2 is suffice ?

Thanks

If you send 2011 W2s without 2011 tax returns, NVC will issue you a checklist for the 2011 tax return. This JUST happened in this thread a few days ago. So, if you don't have the tax returns done, do NOT send 2011 W2s.

Just got our case number! Hope all you March 2nd NOA2 get them today!

Grats! kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

Thank you :D Optin emails sent and logged in to see that we're not invoiced. Funny story - somehow we got through USCIS with an error on our I-130...no RFE...when I tried to give Trav's birthdate, they told me it wasn't right so I said "well, the year may say 1982 which is wrong." she said "why would it say that?" to which I said "because either I or USCIS made an input error and it was entered incorrectly." She said "that's an easy fix, just send the petitioner's birth certificate to us right away." PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).

However, I think that Canada is one of the lucky countries that gets to proceed with 'paperless procedures'.

Trinidad, on the other hand, has to send out documents via 'snail mail!'

You won't have enough time to get the 2011 tax transcript before sending out the AOS package. If you can file your taxes this weekend, just copy the 1040 before sending it out (along with the other schedules, if applicable), and include that in the AOS package along with the W2s.

Thank you!

Nope. Every single country can email the DS-3032. It's just the AOS and IV packages that have to be mailed for countries that aren't eligible for EP.

nvc told me that if they receive AOS package before april 17th, they accept 2010 tax transcripts, after this date you must have 2011 tax transcripts. if you send before this day, i would process your 2011 asap, and send a copy to your beneficiary for the interview. do not send 2011 to NVC unless they request it by checklist. you are okay with 2010 and 2009, 2008 (highly recommended)

Saylin, question for you (obviously.) In your NVC guide it says you got your interview date two weeks after cc. Were you calling everyday or did you just wait for the email package?

It took 20 days (total) for our interview to be assigned. That includes weekends and 2 days when NVC were closed (holiday and power out day). I phoned just once and then just waited for the email as I knew it wouldn't make any difference to the time taken to allocate.

1 Dec 2011 Mailed I-130

Yup, if you have the 2011 tax transcript, that's fine.

Remember, it can either be the last year or the last 3 years.
