I filed a service request last week and this is the email I got today:

The status of this service request is:

USCIS electronic records indicate that your petition was filed on 8/1/2011 and is currently within current processing time.  We are currently processing cases filed 5/27/2011.

The status of your case may be obtained online at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

---

I called and they told me the same thing.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on because I see so many August approvals it doesn't make sense that they're telling me they're still working on May.
