i've been looking at the shortcut and saw this...

In addition to the I-864, you must generate and fill out an Authorization for Release of Federal Tax Data. Download the MS Word copy of the Authorization for Release of Federal Tax Data (available by clicking HERE). Under the barcode, type in your case number. At the bottom of the page, replace the entire phrase "XXX City" with the name of the city in which the embassy interview will take place (i.e., the "post" in Department of State parlance). So if the embassy interview is to take place in Caracas, Venezuela, delete "XXX City" and type in "CARACAS" (all caps).

i do not see the "XXX City" at the bottom of the page.

Once the NVC system shows that it has received your AOS fee, it will generate the AOS/I-864 itself. (This may take anywhere from up to a month after you send the fee in.) Note, however, that neither the processing of the AOS fee nor the generation of the I-864 is reflected on the IVR -- you actually have to ask an operator. (An operator can be reached by pressing 1 and then 5 after dialing NVC.)

does this mean the recorded message will not have information regarding the generation of I-864 or whether or not they received the AOS bill?

can anyone share what they have on their employment verification letter (ie salary, employment duration, job description, etc)?

i'm trying to get the case completed before december faires hit so that i can visit my wife in philippines for Christmas. i don't want to leave until the case is complete just in case they need something else from me.

Call and speak to an operator re whether the AOS fee bill has been processed, and also to find out when the I-864 has been generated.

thanks AW, i've searched for employment letters and didn't find any as perfect as your link. i used (sample "employment verification" "employment letter") guess it was a bad search query
