anybody please tell me what is the processing time for i 130 approval. i am a us permenanat resident filed petition for my husbund in canada on study visa?

When you look at your time line. look for those that are close to your status date, and add them to your list to follow. then you will get an idea when something may happen on your case.

USCIS

10/04/2011: I-130 Mailed

10/12/2011: NOA1 Received

10/25/2011: NOA2 Received

NVC

10/31/2011: Case Received by NVC

11/25/2011: Case Number Assigned

12/02/2011: Pay I-864 Bill

02/01/2012: Return Completed I-864

12/04/2011: Return Completed DS-3032

12/07/2011: Receive IV Bill

01/04/2012: Pay IV Bill

01/31/2012: Receive Instruction Package

02/10/2012: Case Completed at NVC

Embassy

03/05/2012: Medical Appointment (passed)

03/12/2012: Interview Date :) (approved)

03/14/2012: Visa Received

for a F2 something?

I-130 approval is same as regular spousal visas for USCitizen petitioners - 5 to 7 months.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yes, but be aware that an approved petition is far from a visa. It's just the first step. Then, you wait for the priority date to become current or your own citizenship, whichever comes first. This is NOT a K3 case.
