Tips for K-1:

1. 10 days after your arrival, go to your local Social Security office to apply for your Social Security Number. Within a few days you will receive your SSN card in the mail. Once you received it, you should right away apply for State ID or your Driver License. In the State of California, they won't issue California ID if your I-94 will be expiring in less than 60 days.

2. Many banks required State ID to open joint bank accounts or to add your new wife/husband to your existing account. Therefore, get your State ID or Driver License as soon as possible.

3. East West Bank will let you open joint account with only your Indonesian Passport or any other foreign passports.

Tips for Bank Accounts:

If you don't have State ID and only have your passport to open bank account. East West Bank will let you open the account. East West Bank also have a credit card program for newly immigrants that don't require Social Security Number. This credit card is great for joint account to add into your AOS bonafide relationship documentation.

East West Bank is available in California, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, and Washington.

Make sure you keep the barcoded cover letter that came with your EAD/AP combo card.

If your spouse worked in Indonesia and you are filing your taxes for the first time as a married file jointly, then you would need to file Form 2555 or 2555-EZ as well. Your federal tax return will need to send to one of these filing locations.

For those taking medical exam in Jakarta for K-1 visa, make sure to request your doctors to provide you with another copy of DS-3025. You'll need this form for your Adjustment of Status filing for Green Card. You;ll use this form to ask Civil Surgeon to transcribe it to I-693. There are cases where local USCIS will accept this form in lieu of I-693.

From the wording, it looks correct. The form name (DS-3025) should be on the lower left hand corner. It should looks like the following,

I'm concern with varicella vaccine. I'm positively sure i was infected when i was a child, but i dont have a proof, would it help if i ask my family doctor to write a statement letter that i had it before so i can ditch the vaccine?

Did you get a shot when you were a kid?

If not then you need the vaccine. If yes, show them the proof.
