WoM - Beautful pics, especially of the Riverwalk. I haven't been there in years and had forgotten just how wonderful the riverwalk truly is...

In fact, that entire area around San Antonio & Austin is quite nice.

Blessings to Texas! B

Texas is another illegal loving state. They can't give illegals enough love in Texas.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Ha! Wichita Falls...I remember going through Wichita Falls a LOT when I was a kid. We'd often drive 287 from Amarillo to Dallas and back...and Wichita Falls was about the midway point between the two cities. At that time (80s/90s), we thought that Wichita Falls was the BEST city on that stretch of highway...because it was the only city that had any water...and in fact, a waterfall!

We've gotten some good rains so far this year so the wildflower show should be spectacular around San Antonio and up into the Hill Country.

When my husband first saw the prickly pear around here, he was very surprised. It's very common in the West Bank, but it was just about that last thing he expected to see in the U.S.

Traveling in Palestine, I was always struck by how much some of the rural landscape of the West Bank resembles parts of South Texas, especially the areas to the north and northwest of San Antonio.

You do take great pics. Have you taken hubby out west Texas like the Alpine, Big Bend and such?

Sadly, these gorgeous pics are not mine - I just got them from the net by searching "Texas wildflowers"

Yes...absolutely beautiful pics. There is really 'something' about the combination of the the beautiful bluebonnets of Texas and the wild grass...that is wonderful to the senses.

But...today there is no other place I'd rather be than right here on the Potomac in Maryland...its a gorgeous day. Happy Sunday All!

I would not mind if you happened to start a thread about some political thing in Maryland and put some pics in there :D I used to live in Virginia (Arlington) and I know Maryland is beautiful too :)
