An update for those interested, NVC found/received our case on Feb 21st, just checked with the automated system again and case number was assigned yesterday on Feb 24th.

So took them about a week from when they finally received my email sent to nvcresearch@state.gov to find/receive our case and 3-4 days after they "received" it to assign a case number.

And from the time NOA2 was issued to when they "received" our case was about 5 weeks, so you could say 5-6 weeks from NOA2 to Case number.
