Is anyone including a copy of the petitioners passport and birth certificate? It seems they only want that for the beneficiary but later they do seem to want marriage and divorce certificates for both of us. Just want to make sure I'm reading it right. We're doing the final assembly of package 3 tonight!...who whoooo....well, except for the police certificate, that should be in Monday or Tuesday.

I also noticed a few of the DS forms are or will expire soon (1/31 and another 2/29). We will check back before mailing and use the newest forms. If something is out of date and not up to date online I hope they accept it.

Did the petitioner send a copy of their passport or birth certificate with the I-129f? If so you should not have to worry about it. It cannot hurt to bring a copy of both of those to the interview. For packet 3 they really want stuff about the benificary except for the I-134 and if they were married or divorced. If either of you have been married or divorced then send a copy of those docs with packet 3. If the DS forms are expiring I would check back on department of state and USCIS websites and see if they have given a new form or if they are still listed as the newest. Good luck.

This is good advise.

As far as the forms use the latest one & dont worry about the experation date. They know the forms havent been updated yet.

I believe you have to submit a copy of the petitioners passport with the I-134 in your packet 3.

I believe you have to submit a copy of the petitioners passport with the I-134 in your packet 3.

The instructions for the I-134 does not say who the sponsor needs to be(ie usc or legal us resident) or they need to submit a passport or birth certificate. The instructions for the I-864 the sponsor needs to be a USC or legal permanent resident. Since this is Thailand and there has been only a handful of co-sponsors allowed on a K1 visa so the sponsor will be the petitioner and they would have already sent evidence that they are a USC with the approved petition. It cannot hurt to send the passport or birth certificate with packet 3 if it makes you feel better.

Thanks for the replies! I only asked because I read a few interview reviews where the interviewer seemed irritated that extra things were included. After reading package 3 instructions a few times it seems they don't want the petitioners photocopied passport or birth certificate....only the beneficiary traveling. That being said, we decided extra was better than having a delay, and included only those 2 things extra. If they get mad about something small like that then they need to take a serious vacation....lol. Anyway, thanks again and good luck to everyone waiting.....package 3 sent!
