Thanks....and I actually thought about your responses to my last post when his friend was humiliating me, telling me that NO DOMINICAN MAN WOULD EVER WANT TO BE WITH AN UGLY GRINGA LIKE ME. I said, wow......I have a DR man I dont know at all telling me something my husband obviously had told him, and he is speaking for the whole group of DR men. Maybe they aren't all the same but some of them, this guy, sure do a hell of a job making me think otherwise.

I wont judge them all. I know that the US had a ton of pieces of ####### too....it is what is it. I was just the unlucky one to get the @sshole and have to watch my love and hard work drown.

I don't know if you see this but you can't believe a word him and his friends who clearly are scumbag tell you or do. Yes this type of men have a charm to them and you might see them with ten different women ( who also have self esteem issues ) fight for them and have twenty babies with them etc. But think about where this kid comes from and do not use it as an excuse use it as a clue of who he is NO 25 year old guy who had "past long distance" relationships and works sometimes could afford the lifestyle he wants HE was clearly receiving money from someone and instead of becoming a Lawyer he decided to spot women from here or Spain or wherever and yes these types of guy see a gringa either ugly beautiful or blind and think green card. That's why red flags are to be followed to the T... and We are all taking a risk but if we are our standards should be higher than normal. I don't know if you understand the difference but I wish you the best and won't try to persuade you from thinking otherwise because only time and spending time with yourself will help. If I were you I would sure stay away from all this drama too.

You don't give a sh*t what they think. They know better? Yeah? Have they never made any mistake? Do they have perfect lives? I doubt it.

Turn to people in your life who can be supportive. Forget the other ones, they don't deserve your attention.

Right now think of yourself and your kids first, focus on recovering.

You're asking why he did that? Well, obviously, because he's full of sh*t. Don't lose time and energy trying to understand what went through his mind, you'll never be able to really know, and in the end, it doesn't really matter at all.

They're just so friggin judgemental...always gossiping. Its going to suck going to work and them asking me how everything is, like they care...and getting joy from my demise. Uggggggggg.........thank God for the people here because honestly, I think they are more genuine than most of the people I've met in person. If I could get some decent sleep I would feel better, but Im going to sleep thinking about my wedding and waking up thinking about the gifts he sent me on Vday. I feel like I'm in a warp zone

Had he ever lived with you or in the states before? It could have been a shock for him.

Whether it was a shock or not, his behavior shows something much more sinister - visa fraud.

Well, all I know is that I have no tolerance for any relationship fraud. So, if there's any indication of that at any time, it'll be over; she knows that.

Well don't answer them. Just tell them to mind their own business.

People on VJ are in international relationships so they might be a little more open-minded, not all of us though

You might want to go to your doctor on Monday and talk about a temporary medication to get you to sleep at least a little bit. Not sleeping is bad for your health, both physical and mental, and you need your strength right now. The most recent sleep inducers are not addictive so it could be something to consider for a few days.

I understand that - I did go to Moscow to see her in August (about 10 months after we had been in our LDR), and I went to find out if there was any possibility for the future. That's why I proposed. You're right in saying that I won't know until she gets here, and that's why we're doing the 90 day round trip ticket.

Sorry to hear all of that...You are very beautiful woman and you dont deserve be treated like that...nobody does..Im on VJ everyday and when i read your story i was so disgusted what he is doin to you.I know you still love him but it will be better with time..I know thats just saying but it really is better with time..People can hurt you so much that you think you will never love again and you maybe think why all this happend to me and i was just loving him and give him all my support but theres no explanation. You are just inlove in wrong person.Im glad you have courage to share your story with all of us and stood up for yourself. You are strong woman and keep it that way.Just remember greater things in life waiting just for you.And if your worried what other people say. Just ignore it.I know the best how is when people talking about you and gossiping. Its over a year that i said i will get married with person different skin color then mine(in my country thats big deal) and they are still rude to me and gossip and yea they ask lots of questions but they really dont care and just laugh. but you need to ignore that because you are most important person in your life.So just think on recovery and make yourself happy person so you can make your life beautiful and your kids happiest kids ever.

Stay strong :)

I don't know you as well as these other VJers, but your posts have always been thoughtful and kind. I am sorry you've been misused. No one deserves to be lied to about love, but it sucks worse when it happens to someone nice. My only advice is this, Living well is the best revenge.

What a flocking clock soaker! (I can't actually swear on this site, so...)

I saw your photos together, and let me tell you, you look way better than he does. You can do a lot better!

Everybody else has already said what I could possible say, but just to reassure you, I have been dumped twice and it really is hard. Especially the second time, when it became clear that I was used for financial purposes. It just takes time to get past it. But please do your best to get this guy deported. I know how your feel about the humiliation as I have been hesitant to tell everyone about my fiancee, worrying that if it doesn't work out, I will get so many of the "I told you sos" and "how could you be so stupid", etc, etc. If it were with another American, I would get sympathy, but for some reason, since I fell in love with an overseas girl, then it becomes foolish and erratic. But love is love, and when you love you take a risk. So I think you are brave for taking that chance, just like the rest of us on here. So never feel bad about sharing your love with someone. He's the [refer to my first sentence] for trashing your sweet gift!
