Hi how are you doing all

I just came across bit of jam so I thought I have to do little research on this since I've got a RFE letter from the USCIS. They said I need to provide another form of health examination application & revise my affidavit just because one that I've already sent, which appears to be not from either pertioner or sponsor even after I filled out that application with saying that person is my joint sponsor, but I forgot to make one that for my pertioner.

But now somehow know what to prepare but my joint sponsor seems to lost his birth certificate.

So my question is will USCIS accept my joint sponsor if he uses his social security card or driver license instead of filing it with birth certificate?

Any comment would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you all.

PS: One last question, if any of my applications like I-485 or I-130 on hold, then wouldn't I be able to get EAD until it reprocesses my applications?

Joint-sponsor birth-certificate is required to ensure the nationality of that person. I have read somewhere, one got 221(g) in their interview because their joint-sponsor didn't have birth-certificate. They were asked to submit that doc.

If he has lost his birth-certificate, but he can obtain a duplicate copy. It shouldn't be a big deal.

Thank you for your such a quick response. It seems lik I have to wait until he gets birth certificate. The thing is I don't mind which documents he provides, but the thing is it takes couple of weeks to get his birth certificate...

Just want to make sure few more things, I would like to add few more questions if that is okay with you ; )

On my wife affidavit application I checked and filled like:

Part1

I am the pertitioner. I filed or am filling for the immigration of my relatives.

Part2

my information

Part3

I am sposoring the principal immigrant named in part 2 above

Yes

Enter the total number of immigrants you are sponsoring on this from ~ 01

Part 5

its bit confusing...

On my joint sponsor's application I checked and filled like:

Part1

I'm the only joint sponsor

Part2

my information

Part3

I am sposoring the principal immigrant named in part 2 above

Yes

Enter the total number of immigrants you are sponsoring on this from ~ 01

Part5

a. 01

b 01

c. 01

d. 02

e. 00

f. 00

g. 00

h. 04

do you think this information looks good to go so far?

Thank you again

If joint sponsor is a USC, then you need to send in a copy of their birth certificate or copy of the bio page from their passport to prove citizenship. SS cards cannot be used as identification for anything.

EVERYTHING is paused until you successfully reply to the RFE.

Please update your profile and timeline. What visa are you AOSing from?
