Okay let me try this a different way :) Is anyone collecting Canada Pension, a Provincial Government or Municipal Pension from Canada?

I had no responses to my last questions so I will try another way. Is anyone collecting any pension from Canada? What happens with taxes, where do you get it depositied to Cdn or US bank etc.

As a general sort of response to the banking issue, I doubt they can direct deposit to a US banking institution. Those of us who got EI (another government benefit) had to have it deposited into a Canadian account - that may help answer your question about that. Call them directly though, ask exactly where they can and can't do direct deposit, probably faster.

I suggest you try this tax forum - specifically geared towards US/Cdn tax issues. I'm sure they can answer your question regarding tax and they're free. many of us have used it to ask tax questions

They will send you a cheque in US funds to your U.S. address. They do not allow a direct deposit to a Canadian or U.S. bank at this time. At tax time they will give you two T4a(P) slips. One non-resident and one regular.
