But obviously K3/K4 visas are still issued at times. I do agree that having failed at a fiance visa is not what I would want to go through in the course of being together.

With the actual context being what's best for the OP in THEIR current circumstances, unless you are REALLY suggesting that on the OBSCURE CHANCE they might be together a couple weeks sooner, they would be well advised to follow their I-130 filing with an I-129F that will MOST SURELY delay the approval of the petition that will ACTUALLY LEAD TO A VISA, there's really no reason to bring up the I-129F at all.

We get that it's still at least remotely possible to obtain a K3 visa. Do you get that it's extremely unlikely to get them together sooner but highly likely to delay their reunion?

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

a K-3 being awarded after the case was kicked back , stateside, and a 2nd interview (albeit with an approval)

IMO

should not really 'count' on any K-3 counting,

as there's 6 to 18 months of back and forth, prior, plus the amount of time they've been here already -

so much, in fact,

that I would state the case you know of, NOB, is over 2 years from the time the I-129F left NVC, till today.

So, it really 'not count' in the count for this year and last.

Sorry ..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
