Hello All!

Just received the official notice in the mail! Silly me thinking there would actually be concrete instructions on what to do next attached! Can anyone give some advice on the next steps here? Thanks to all you seasoned visa veterans who can assist!

congrats!!!!

What to do next varies by embassy after NVC sets your packet there.

For a short time relax, then you can call NVC and get your case number for your embassy.

For the NVC:

Give them 7 - 10 days before calling.

K1's are not tracked through the AVR, EVER. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

1-603-334-0700

Press 1 for English

Press 5 for an operator

Congratulations!

Do not feel silly. NOA2 are notifications. They do not contain instructions per se but merely tell you that you are going on to the next step. Read it again. The next step is James getting his packet 3 from the embassy. That will contain instructions.
