Good day all,

We are planning ahead...My husband would like to know from NIGERIAN couples  who have already gone through this if they got police reports from somewhere besides Inspector Emmanuel in Ikoyi? What does the report look like and what reason did you tell the police you needed this? He would also like to know which place you went to for the medical? In my readings I noticed someone said Kamoras was no longer doing them. He wants to know if he can go anywhere to have it done, but wants to make sure he gets what the embassy needs.

Thank you for taking the time to respond!

You have to get the medical from the one they tell you to use and there is only 2 places in Lagos that they except medicals from. You can go online under Lagos medical exams/immigration to find out which 2 they are.

You don't need any inspector to have your police report. Just have an idea of the amount involved {=N= 3000-4000} & go here:

Criminal Investigation Department

Nigerian Police Force

Alagbon Close

Ikoyi, Lagos

Medical Exams MUST ONLY be performed by either ;

(1)Dr. Funmi Alakija

Q-Life Family Clinic

Plot 155A Prince Ade Odedina Street

Off Ajose Adegun,

Victoria Island Annexe

Lagos, Nigeria

Telephone: 01-804-2000, 01-726-2840

Cell: 0702-770-4055

(2)The Children's Practice

25, Raymond Njoku Street, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Dr. A. L. Anga

Tel: 01-4611941, 01-8930723, 08022235834.

E-mail: info@childrenspractice.com

Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Saturdays 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Choose Option 2 because the Q-life folks just started service in Feb 2012 and the waiting times are horrible.

Wish you guys all the best.

I called Children's Practice from abroad and was told the price is N22,000/each for medicals so I sent my family there due to the info above. When my family arrived there, the price was something else - way higher than N22,000. My family didn't think it was the best in service and all but the speed at which results came was fabulous! Some folks where there for hours for the test because there was only 1 nurse attending to people. The clinic wasn't also at its best standard according to my family or maybe my family was expecting too much :D

Yes the price is N22,000. If you contact the hospital before the test date, they will advise you to have additional N9,000 in case there is any need for immunization. I am contemplating sending my spouse to this clinic for her physical. Now I am having mixed feelings based on your family experience.

Well if you want to get results fast, then those guys are ok. Besides that, the above experience of my family is still valid. I was still talking about the clinic with my mum few days ago & she still couldnt imagine they had a clinic like that taking into consideration that they are serving folks going to the embassies and there would be alot of them. SO why 1 nurse attending to everyone?
