Hey everyone,

I just wanted to ask if there's any Pinoys/Pinays living in the San Francisco bay area. I know that we just started the K-1 Visa process, but I wanted to have a smooth transition for my fiancee once she arrives so she had people she can kick it with or talk or chat to people in the same boat as her (new to America, doesn't know anyone). If she interacts with people now, then she will definitely be more comfortable coming here and knowing she has friends in her new home. =)

Anyway, I live in Vallejo. So i'm pretty sure Max's, Jollibee, Chow King, Red Ribbon, Goldilocks, and Seafood City will be her favorite places to visit. HAHA.

Thanks for reading.

good for you, here in Virginia there is no Jollibee and no red ribbon i miss this so much..there are just few pinays that ive meet here..im happy for you, you will not be homesick..

Jollibee is good when you don't know any better or until you've had better food. When you eat real pasta and spaghetti (minus the sugar and ketchup) in an Italian restaurant, Jollibee won't seem so good. The longer you're away from Jollibee and the more alternatives to Jollibee you try, when you finally have Jollibee you'll see what I mean.

Kind of like McDonald's is good until you've tried a Double-Double from In-N-Out Burger.

Now Red Ribbon does make some great pastries, the Coffee Crunch and Leche Flan Roll are delicious.

I even made myself hungry. I haven't eaten beef in more than 20 years, when I did, In-N-Out was my favorite. A Double-Double with fies-animal style and a vanilla shake...YES!

For me, its Macaroni Grill and two apple martini's tonight baby!
