Hey friends,

I am just preparing to write the checks for the I 130 and I 485.I followed all the instructions..

But i am not sure..how many checks should i put?Does each of the forms need to be payed separate-Like

-Check for I 130

-Check for I 485

Check for Employment Authorization

-Check for Work Permit

and when do I pay for the fingerprints.

You only need to pay for I-130 and I-485. As long as you file I-485 with correct fee, EAD and AP is free of charge. You can make seperate checks for each form.

And you don't need to pay for biometircs.

Also you need to get I-693 done.

02/01/2012 - Received text/email for I-765, Card/Document Production

02/06/2012 - Received EAD card in mail. YAY!

02/07/2012 - Received text/email for interview date, 03/15/2012

02/08/2012 - Received interview letter in mail

03/15/2012 - Interview at San Antonio, approved on spot and got a stamp!

You do pay for biometrics - it's included in the I-485 price. It's $420 for I-130 and $1070 for the I-485.

Technically and for the sake of clarity and not making it any more confusing it is $420 for the I-130, and $985 for the I-485 processing and $85 for biometrics.

I did it on three separate checks with an annotation at the bottom indicating what it was for...to make it as clear as possible.

July 2005 - met my awesome, hot, amazing love in Lousiana.
July 2006 - Married said love and moved to Canada.
June 2011 - Entered US to visit family, decided to stay.
Feb. 2012 - Sent paperwork to Chicago.

May 2012 - Received green card.

Day 4 - NOA Emails Received - 03/02/2012

We just found out we didn't include the $420 filing fee for form 130. How could this possibly happen?!? Anyway, does anyone know what we should do now? Should we send in extra check or wait for the USCIS to get back to us? Thanks!

It happened by not being careful. ;)

They will likely reject your app and you will have to refine and include the proper payment. No money, no processing. :)
