Oh yes! I sent in the requested RFE in January and they received it on January 10th. I only know this from checking my case status on the internet. They did not send me a letter. So I made an INFO PASS appointment and what a joke that was! The person behind the bullet proof window told me it would take 90 days to process my case as opposed to the 60 days they mentioned in their letter. So I called the Customer Service Line and told the person I had conflicting information and would like to get help. I was transferred to a very rude customer service rep and she told me it would take 5 months! I thought I heard her wrong and asked her to repeat that:) She said every time we mail in a document for our file the 5 month period starts all over again. I was asking her questions and she hung up on me. I called the Homeland Security Washington DC number to file a complaint and I was again directed to the customer service line. I wasn't going to give up so I called again. This time after choosing the option that I wanted to report a rude USCIS rep my call was transferred to a very sweet representative and she told me that I should be patient and that I have less than a month to get a response from the USCIS. Do I believe her? Of course not!

I am reading approvals here those who filed 4 months after I did and got their approvals in less than 95 days. My filing date is August 10th and the only RFE they requested was a divorce decree and a death certificate and we responded in a timely manner. We're still waiting.

I cannot plan the rest of my life until my government decides it for me and in the meantime I'll pay my taxes, be a good citizen, vote in the upcoming elections and wait for them to move their butts and give me an approval. Do I sound disgusted and not excited? You bet! If I contact and file a complaint with my congressman they are going to tell me I either have 30 or 60 days for them to get a response from the Homeland Security.

It also doesn't help when all your friends and family ask you whenever you're in their eye sight if your fiancee is coming soon. On the other hand there is a fiance with some family members who wonder is he really getting a visa or not, I know not to listen to anything else and try to be positive but....

I went overseas 4 times in 2011 and during my last entry two weeks ago the Passport officer asked me if I live in the US. I said Yes. He put a mark on my Customs Declaration Form and while everyone else was just pushing their carts out my luggage was put through the ex ray belt and they opened my luggage and searched every piece that was in there. For traveling so much in one year you are a potential terrorist not a person who may be missing a loved one.

I'll try to stay positive. If I didnt have my children living in the US I would've moved overseas a long time ago. My fiancee didn't even want to come here and asked me to live there with him. USCIS has no idea what circumstances people deal with.

This is a mess!

I called USCIS last Friday and i am the beneficiary. The CS Rep. said she needs to talk to the Petitioner. So my fiance called. She said we should wait until March 7 before calling them back again. (that would be our 5th month) waiting and waiting and waiting.. im so frustrated seeing late filers were been approved before us. :(
