That is one interpretation. Of course your liberal bias (and the liberal bias of others criticizing the op's article) taints that interpretation as well. Naturally, progressives dislike the the story.....but it is accurate. This article, and many others, are refering to the simple fact that these are record high gas prices.....it doesn't say "all time record high" simply "record high" which is accurate. Like it, don't like.....doesn't matter.

Sorry but the actual "record high gas prices" under Bush weren't his fault either. I didn't blame Bush, but the LWN's who did at least weren't making up the " record high gas prices" line, however wrong their accusations were.

Ok....let me spell it out in little bits for you:

No attempt to salvage.

You and others denied that, this month and last, gas prices set a new record.... a record high.

I posted an article proving that gas prices were indeed at a record high. If you haven't yet grasped this, re-read.

The OP article is part of a more complex discourse than you can't seem to understand.

The record high prices that we are experiencing in the last two months are part of this discourse.
