DS230 police record QUESTION

I'm currently waiting for my I130 approval and preparing all the necessary forms for when the time comes. According to EZGuideSpouse I have to submit my police record with the DS230, but I'm unsure as to which ones.

I was born and raised in Austria, but have since lived in the UK for 12 months and the Netherlands for 7 years, before moving back home (visa will be applied for at the US embassy in Austria). Will it be sufficient to supply my Austrian police record, or do I need to obtain the police records from the UK and the Netherlands as well?

Just to clarify, I have no priors nor have I ever been arrested, I'm just trying to avoid an RFE.

Thanks in advance!

As far as I remember you will need both. I think that if you have lived anyone more than 6 months, you must supply a police record from these places. I would get both, to be on the safe side.

Per NVC guidelines, you will need to submit a police clearance certificate for each and every residence that you have held:

1. In your country of domicile and you have been living or have lived at this residence for a period of more than SIX MONTHS and you were SIXTEEN YEARS OR OLDER when you started living there.

2. Any international residence outside your country of domicile if you have been living or have lived at this residence for a period of more than TWELVE MONTHS and you were SIXTEEN YEARS OR OLDER when you started living there.

Inferring from the guideline above, it appears that you will need a police clearance certificate for all 3 of your residences.

This is just general information I extrapolated from DS-230 instruction package. There may be country specific instructions you may need to follow. I urge you to take my response with a grain of salt (as in not written in stone) and make sure to research Country specific information thoroughly.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info guys and girls, that's very helpful. Might be some pain though to obtain those records, especially since I don't live there anymore...
