No NOA1 Received

I reveived my text and e-mail saying my I129 was routed to California, received my case number and said I would receive a hard copy letter in 7-10 days. That was on Feb 3rd and I have received nothing. Check cashed too. Has this happened to anyone?

i never got a noa1 they kind of skipped over it since there was no problem i had to call to find out everything was approved and moving along. no worries i did get a noa2 after i already schedule my interview it was dated back awhile i think they are slow to send it out

It's a receipt notice. Even though it's not something you have to use later on(unlike the NOA2), it's still good to have. The one thing on there that'll help you when contacting USCIS or checking your case online, is the WAC or EAC number.

Anyways, you can call USCIS after 30 days of utter silence from their side and ask about your petition. You might need to state your name, birth date and other personal information to see if it's in their system.

Yup, the same thing happened to me. I never recieved my NOA1. But you wont really need it. Hopefully my NOA2 DOES arrive, because that one you DO need for AOS. So don't worry about it.

You have the email from USCIS with the receipt number so you are good. Like others have said, some never get an I-797 notice from USCIS receiving the petition.

Thanks for the responses. Yes the e-mail has my WAC number and on the website it indicates that my case is in initial review. Just was expecting the mailing..
