Removing conditions from pregnant wife

My wife is pregnant and our son is due to be born the same day her green card expires, June 1. I think I should mention this in the cover letter for a number of reasons, not the least of which is to avoid having them schedule an interview during her final weeks of pregnancy. Any suggestions about how exactly to broach the subject and to provide supporting documentation are welcome.

Well, one way would be to avoid filing the ROC paperwork until 2 weeks or so before her cards expires.

Another is to file as soon as the 90 days window opens and write on the cover letter that you need the interview before X date or after X date due to her impending birth.

Yes, I think the latter is the safest way to go. However, I am going to provide a lot of detailed evidence and ask them to consider sparing us an interview since she is in her third trimester.
