I'm trying my best to look at the bright side of things, but it's darn hard! I can't help the tears of frustration. I'm a bit apprehensive about what my fiance's reaction will be (I JUST received the notice and forwarded it with a loving note to him). Everything was riding on an approval, or a decision to say the least. I had to do quite a lot of the "don't worry, things'll work out" to keep both of our morale's up. I wasn't quite ready for this.

I'm trying my best not to get discouraged. I'm elated that my case is, in fact being processed. But how will it hinder the road ahead? Will the wait be even longer. Oh gosh I'm terrified...

Much love,

Mawa :clock:

PS - just received 3 additional emails from CRIS to the initial 2 from USCIS-CSSO, do they scorn me? :(

Keep your chin up, looks like since you filed in May this is your IMBRA RFE. If that's the case, you're still in better shape than (sadly) quite a few other people. On the optimistic side this means your case is moving along. Get the info sent back asap after the RFE arrives in the mail. In all likelihood, you could wind up getting an approval shortly after your RFE is recieved... this seems to be a trend lately.

Good luck! Try not to dwell on the negative side of it! Your case is moving along

november6275,

This is the IMBRA RFE, yes? Either way, here is the William33 party line on RFE's:

When you send the RFE evidence back, send it USPS Express ($14 and change).

On the front and back of the USPS provided document Envelope, write the following: ATTN:RFE in red marker.

This is the information on the RFE envelope supplied by CSC.

You may want to write your case number on the envelope, as well.

It will then move through CSC very fast!

Don't worry, approval is just around the corner. Good Luck!!!

Well, I was happy I got an RFE! Of course an NOA2 would have been better, but an RFE is certainly better than nothing!

Based on the date you filed, you should have been expecting and hoping for an RFE and you should be jumping for joy now that you finally are getting it!

Maybe you should just explain to your fiance that this was something you had to receive before they could approve your application. USCIS did not start using the new forms that had the IMBRA language included util sometime in July.

I expect there will be more delays, and that way I'm not surprised when I encounter them. I just figure if I keep walking along on this journey, I'll eventually get to my destination - just dont stop walking and you'll get there eventually too :D

The more I've surfed the through the pages about the IMBRA supplement on VJ, the faster I've come to realize that I should have been expecting it. (had I put more time into VJ... rather than just skim to see what dates were getting approved)

With each and every post I read, I emailed my fiance... lol

I'm sort of like that. And I think it in a way, will cause him to heave a huge sigh of relief before he even hears about the initial shock I was in.

Oh I love the source of info this site offers!!! Ahhhh... it's overwhelmingly awesome.

Thanks a whole lot you guys... and TucsonBill, I've just come to realize why you were excited about your RFE... hehe... Congrats :) (I guess)...

I can finally sleep... I've got a few classes tomorrow... *yawn*

Not to mention a long chat with the love of my life, barely hanging on in England...

Before I totally call it a night... I was wondering. If it indeed is simply the IMBRA supplement RFE, can I resend it, as well as addition info (I went to visit him for a month in July)? Or should I just send back what they simply ask for...

I'm just trying to think ahead. In anticipation of counteracting a possible 2nd RFE...

november 6275- Hi! Is the RFE you received with IMBRA question? I got my first RFE asking us three questions, the 2nd RFE we got they are asking for some documents that we met within 2 years.

It's good you already got your RFE. As the other VJers are telling, it means that they are taking action on your case. Our approval with come soon after we send the RFE reply. Double check everything before sending ok? You can also look on the RFE thread to check for some tips.....really helpful

Wishing you the best on your journey. :star:

The best advice I can give is just to send back what is requested. Hopefully they did enough of a review that this is all that is needed. Your post petition visit to him in July (which will be considered evidence of a continued relationship) is not required evidence for the I-129f but is needed for the interview. This will not improve your case at this stage.

YMMV

Your file was probably in the same lost stack with ours and MrLonely's, that't why it took them soo long to mail the RFE's or to "touch" our files.
