I have a quick question--for those who got their EAD approved, did you get an I-797C Notice of Action, or did you just get the card in the mail without the 797?

My fiance is looking to accept a job offer ASAP, and they want either the card or the receipt notice. I imagined that the receipt notice would come earlier than the card, but no one can give me assurance if I will even get a receipt notice. A quick yes or no would be great! Thanks!

i noticed on my biometric appointment sent to me by the USCIS, they, stated the receipt no. of my I-751 (EAD application) with my I-485 (AOS application) receipt no. that's why i know what's my EAD receipt no. it's actually like a no. next to my AOS receipt no. (i.e. AOS: 12345678 , EAD: 12345679). it's just like that.

That number is on the NOA1 too. The receipt at the biometrics you're talking about doesn't prove you have work authorization, only you've been to have your fingerprints and picture taken.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days
