Does anybody who had their medical in February have an interview date? The embassy would've received my medical results on the 10th but I called the DOS line today and they still don't have a date.

That sounds promising! Ha ha! Well...yes that timeline is correct, I did get a K3 in 2007, I did receive my green card in 2009 but then I did make a big mistake in 2010. They don't have a timeline for moving your family back home, abandoning status, then realising it was the wrong move and applying again. I should probably erase everything and log this application but I can't bring myself to.

I just called the premium rate information line and they said they don't have a record of the DS-2001 or the interview. I sent the DS-2001 before the interview! Suffice to say I got the code to send an e-mail. We need to get back by April to get our old jobs back and to enrol my daughter in daycare before the spaces run out at my wife's work.

Oh dear...mine will be an IR-1 so I can't see there being much of a difference.

When you called did they give you any advice on what to do? If it was me then i would check they had recieved my paperwork and send in another DS2001, i got an expedite at the NVC so ive had to arange everything myself so my advice may not be relevent because we had to do things a little different to everyone else. With the embassy line ive found the best thing is presistance, the first few times i called they were useless but the last 2 times they were SO helpful, maybe try calling them again? Its a shame its so expensive!

The guy didn't seem concerned at all but that probably said more about him than whether I should worry or not. He's obviously been told to say if it's within 4 weeks of sending the DS-2001 it's still within timescales. He said they normally upload the DS-2001 and medical at the same time so what I assume from that is they haven't received it; just as you said. He suggested e-mailing the Embassy when I told him we need to go back quite urgently. I did that but sending the DS-2001 again is probably a good shout.

Congratulations on your interview date by the way.

Congratulations on your interview date by the way.

I was told from them recieving the paperwork it would be about 7 weeks untill my interview and i think they got me a date within a week under of that estimate. Ovbiously there replies are scripted so unless something changes in your case they cant really tell you anything else. They recieved my case and then a week later i sent in my DS2001 and then i called them a week after that and they told me everything was in order and they were just waiting to generate a date, i called back a week later and they told me they had a date for me before the letter even came in the post lol (so it took 3 weeks, plus the one i wasted lol) Im one of them people that has to know everything that is going on! (its a blesing and a curse) i also think its a case of asking the right questions.. Give it 4 weeks from them recieving your case and then call them up and find out whats going on if you can. I really do wish you the very best of luck! I have to say waiting for my NOA2 felt like a walk in the park compaired to the stress i put myself through waiting for my interview letter... lol so my heart goes out to you!

I needn't have worried. I got an e-mail from the embassy today letting me know that my interview is on 8th March. I had asked them to consider me for any cancellations. What a relief!
