Our AOS interview was this morning in Denver at 10:45 am. We passed security and sat down in the waiting room at 10:30. Literally one minute later, they called us. The interview was pretty simple and smooth...the officer asked the usual bio questions and the yes and no questions. She didn't ask much about our relationship. The only thing that kept the officer thinking was my birth certificate. She was looking for a more "official" copy of my birth certificate with my parents names on it. The copy that was given from my home country was a simple document on white paper typed on a typewriter saying where and on what date I was born. So, she didn't say much about approval other than I need to review this and let you know. Then, she said, well I think I will go ahead and approve it (meaning the certificate) since it went through when you applied for your F-1 visa. So, I want to think I've been approved but not sure until I hear something via email or text. She also took out the I-94 from my passport....so I take that as a good thing?

Thanks! I was just hoping for a more positive response, like "Expect your card in the mail." But maybe they're not supposed to do that. At the end of the interview, she also explained what steps need to be taken to remove the condition from the green card. So, maybe in her mind I've been approved? Who knows..
