My name is Paul and I'm 23, I live in Israel and my SO lives in the US. She's 27.

We haven't started the process yet, but I am waiting for my interview regarding a B1/B2 visa as I need to meet her before applying for a K1. My interview is next month, and I hope I'll be able to get to the US within the next two months :)

This forum is very very helpful to us :)

Yep this is a very helpful site. There are some things I did in advance when I visited my sweet Filipina last month. I knew that I was going to propose and fill out the I-129. So I downloaded the G-325 and other forms and filled them out together with her when I was in the Philippines and let her sign it. Also her letter of intent (I copied the sample one from this sight and modified. Then I had it printed in the Philippines and she signed it). We also had our passport pictures taken. When I got back to New Jersey it took me just a few days to gather the other information and I quickly sent the I-129.

Sent I-129 Application to VSC 2/1/12
NOA1 2/8/12
RFE 8/2/12
RFE reply 8/3/12
NOA2 8/16/12
NVC received 8/27/12
NVC left 8/29/12
Manila Embassy received 9/5/12
Visa appointment & approval 9/7/12
Arrived in US 10/5/2012
Married 11/24/2012
AOS application sent 12/19/12

AOS approved 8/24/13

Yeah, once my visitor visa is approved I'll start gathering all the required documents to fill out the form when I'm there :)

Welcome to VJ Paul!

Best wishes with the visa interview.

My visitor visa was denied, sadly. (214B)

So now either I wait, get a job and reapply, or my SO gets to me and we do it all from here.

So sorry to hear that. It seems that you have come up with a game plan. Nothing worthwhile comes easy.
