I went to Maine on the weekend and the border officer asked how the CR-1 process was going (I cross a lot!) and when I told him about the RFE and what it was for, he even said that was messed up and he repeated what you have said about what the I-864 instructions say!

Saylin! It worked!! My husband submitted his tax return and we received an interview date in Montreal for April 23!! We just received notice yesterday. Thank you so much!

Wow, that's a soon interview! Usually it's two months from CC to interview date for Canadians. Maybe the backlog is disappearing! Anyways, glad everything worked out. You're almost at the end of your journey!
