a thread on another part of here got me to thinking. has anyone driven their car to the US from Canada as you want to keep it?

i'm planning on doing so (have dogs to bring with me) and i want to keep my little car (just bought it!). any ideas what i need to do, if anything? not really finding much out there when i googled it.

some have outlined the deatisl what u need so if you can follow that post.. it would give you an idea

If i recall correctly, you need to contact the manufacturer in the US, and ask them if it meets the safety requirements for that car year. I wanted to take my car over here, but unfortunately it didn't meet the requirements.. Which sucked becuase i really loved that car.. the ironic part is that now i'm driving a car that's much less safe than the one i had in Canada...

oh i know that part thanks. figured that out before we started this crazy k1 process. priorties! :lol: i can live without the car, but not the 'kids'
