Hello. My husband is an American Citizen and he has been here for 1 year already. We are filling out forms but we have hard time to finish it because of some confusions. On his G325a, what address he will put? is it US address or philippine address which where he resides now? And also, in I-I30, what address also he will put on the petitioner's info? Thanks a lot.

You are filing for Immigrant Visas.

IR-1/CR-1 As a U.S. sponsor/petitioner, you must maintain your principal residence (also called domicile) in the U.S., which is where you plan to live for the foreseeable future. Living in the U.S. is required for a U.S. sponsor to file the Affidavit of Support, with few exceptions.

1-130 petition is for citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States to establish the relationship to certain alien relatives who wish to immigrate to the United States.

You will put the US citizen resident address in the United States for both IR-1/CR-1 and 1-130 petitions.

I disagree. When we filed the I-130 my husband was still living in France and had been for almost 3 years. We gave his (our) French address in all documents and were fine. All we did was providing evidence that he intended to relocate to the US in the next few months.

There are numerous other examples of successful applications where the USC provided their address abroad.

Since DCF is still available in the Philippines (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=1ac900c262197210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=1ac900c262197210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD), this is even more important to show that the USC is residing in the Phils so that he qualifies for DCF.

I agree with Laure. Op should be doing DCF.

If he were not doing DCF, address abroad is better, and will get a chance for fast processing because of the USC being abroad (evidenced in Laure's sig). Another member who put a "permanent" address in the US even though he was living abroad got put in the normal, 6 months for NOA2 queue, not what he wanted.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

Hello..My husband is here for a year now. He stopped the payment on his apartment in Florida before going here in Phils. We are applying for CR1 under DCF. You mean, he will put a Philippine address on the field "ADDRESS" in his G325a and I-I30, right? Then, he will put the address of his siter's address where we intend to live , the place where will be staying permanently. Am I right? Thanks for the reply.

Hi ilovedo

I did not realize you were filing DCF nor see the (DCF) on the filing status. Then you can use the address you are currently residing at in the Philippines.

You can use the Non-US address for the I-130 and G-325A.

Quick questions Laure&Colin

What happens when they file DS-260 and I-864? Will they us the Non-US address or the US Residence address? Just curious.

This is for Question 18 on form I-130?

Yes. If this will be your residence in which you intend to live in the United States. You will put his sister's address.
