Hi All,

Just thought I would make my first post in the Forums be an informative (albeit frustrating) one.

The USCIS Processing Times for the California Service Center site was updated yesterday (Feb. 21, 2012) and it doesn't look pretty.

Check it out here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

After reading "5 Months" for the past five months, I logged in today to see this:

I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S. citizen filing for a spouse, parent, or child under 21 August 2, 2011

YAY. We called our Lawyer who is presently speaking to the VA Congressman (VA is my US Home residence) and to the Immigration Department as he has 5 other cases that are older than 5 months. He asked me to call him later this week and he can give me more detailed information then. I'll post comment again once I know more.

Anybody else out there with an India spouse who applied for I-130 in August 2011? Any approvals?

Well there has been quite a few august approvals for that kind of visa here on vj. And quite a few of them have gotten their Noa1 after august the 2nd so that date seems like it's taken out of no where. However, putting a date on like that means that we who have been waiting for over 6 months can't do nothing but wait yet again.

Good thing my senator aleady is looking into our cases...

Noa 1 August 15th 2011
Noa 2 March 2nd

NVC case numbers March 22nd
My sons AOS and IV bill paid March 23rd (status in progress)
My sons AOS and IV bill shows as paid March 26
My IV bill paid March 26
Both packages sent on March 26
My IV bill shows as paid on March 27th
CC on both cases March 30

Current record holder of fastest through the NVC :D

::sigh:: I wonder if the Country has anything to do with it? Someone else said that some of the processing centers are faster than others. Who knows for sure except that we have to hurry up and wait.

I'm glad you have someone looking into your case for you! If ours reaches the 7 month mark, I'm contacting our Congressmen.

I contacted my local congressman in Jan 2012 and it took them about 1 month to respond to me. So once they replied to me and opened case w/ USCIS, USCIS told us to wait another 30 days and if still nothing then contact USCIS again.

End of this month will be the end of 30days. I'm hoping to get NOA2 before then. :help:

It will be over 6 months of waiting for me next week. :(

Hi there,

We just got our approval yesterday/today (02/22/2012) depending on where you are.

Congratulations Divya Rao! I'm so happy for you guys! Hopefully it comes soon for us. We're going to be calling our Lawyer tonight who contacted our Congressman for us (they're friends so hopefully we get some movement out of that connection).

Has your husband gotten his PCC yet? Did he wait for approval or just go ahead and start that process? Things here (India) take SO MUCH TIME to get anything done and we are worried that it will take a while for his PCC if we wait till we get the NOA2 or the Letter from the Embassy. He lived in two different places growing up and now we live in Maharashtra so we're worried that it will take too much time to get that all hunted down and approved.

Especially after it took 9 months for me to get my stinking PIO card from India. Word to the wise, apply for your PIO in the US. Takes about a month or so there. ::sigh::

Thank you so much MandyBear. Btw, I'm the beneficiary and my husband is the petitioner. I went ahead and got my PCC already, cos I've lived in two different states too. So now I've everything ready to be couriered to my husband for the NVC.
