EAD approved AFTER being on production?!

Today I got an email saying that my EAD was approved, which is weird because they had already sent TWO emails saying it was in production (details in my timeline). It also said they mailed me a NOTICE saying it was approved, when I was already expecting they would send me the EAD. If it was already in production, why is it being approved now? Shouldn't the approval notice come first, THEN the card production notice?

Also, on the website my case moved back from Card/Document Production to Post Decision Activity, although I'm glad it was approved, it sucks to see it going backwards. Has this happened to anybody else? :wacko:

yes, same thing happened to me with EAD and GC today!!!

Did you also get the email saying it was approved and they were sending a notice today? I'm glad to see I'm not the only one, this still doesn't make sense though =\

This is a very common problem with getting notices from them.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on February 21, 2012.

sounds like they just wanted to mess with me a bit. :D Symple_me that should happen to you too!

Probably the first one was approval, second one card production and 3rd update that it had been picked up/ready to be shipped.

Maybe the officer on your case spilled coffee and hit a couple of buttons. Congrats on your approval, that's what matters. :)
