Good evening,

I have been filling out the online DS-160 (for my j2) for the last hour and I have just hit a very frustrating and incomprehensible bump.

I am at the last page of section 1 - and the "next:PHOTO" button is greyed out. I can't go forward.

I can save my application, which means there are no mistakes in my entry, but I have no way of clicking NEXT.

Has anybody ever experienced this? Is it a temporary glitch in the system? Am i doing something wrong? Can I correct this?

Please any help will be very much appreciated, I must take this appointment asap and now I am stuck .... without even knowing why : (

Thank you!

Have you put your picture in their template and made sure your picture is approved?

There is a step where you have to upload picture in their template and it will validate your picture requirements meet their needs.

Once you have done that then you can upload the picture to your application.

If you don't have a photo, you do have to upload something like a blank image or any jpg image. You will then get a message that the photo is unacceptable and you need to bring a photo with you to the interview. You will then get a new option "next:continue without photo", which will enable you to go to the next step.

Cool, I was not aware that this was also an option....:)
