Got married July 4, 2011 here in the Philippines and my husband filed our petition on August 11, 2011 in Chigago but was informed that it was forwarded to California . . and was received there August 15, 2011 . . the waiting is so stressful but i still believe that God is just teaching us how to practice our patience as good things are coming closer and preparing us for something better . . i do miss my husband but we both are looking forward for the time we will be together as a family . . .

I agree - the waiting is very hard. I filed for a fiancee visa for my sweet Filipina and we have to wait for about 6 months for our papers providing there are no complications. The only thing that is helping us is to keep busy in daily activities so that the time passes. I sent her a copy of the book "Culture Shock USA" which I purchased on Amazon.com for under $10 so that she can be prepared for her stay here in New Jersey. She says it is really helping her to understand US culture.

Sent I-129 Application to VSC 2/1/12
NOA1 2/8/12
RFE 8/2/12
RFE reply 8/3/12
NOA2 8/16/12
NVC received 8/27/12
NVC left 8/29/12
Manila Embassy received 9/5/12
Visa appointment & approval 9/7/12
Arrived in US 10/5/2012
Married 11/24/2012
AOS application sent 12/19/12

AOS approved 8/24/13

I tried the K1 route in 2007. And through times and her problems with medical we found our love was not really love and we broke up. Stay strong and be patient. I am now thankful for my 2007 failure as I have my true love and best friend. To use a Tom Cruise term "she completes me" Kenard: good advice and thanks for the book idea.
