Travel to Canada with Extension Letter...

Visa Journey Members,

Does any one have experience visiting Canada wile their Removal of Conditions was being processed?

My family is planning an Alaskan cruise for August 2012, and my wife will have:

1) A new passport from her government (no original VISA into USA... its expired anyways)

2) Her Original Green Card (will be expired because of the removal of conditions process)

3) The Notice of Action 1 from USCIS - people say this acts as a letter of extension for the green card while she is issued a new one

Will this be enough for her to enter/exit Canada without problems?

I know the extension letter allows her to visit her home country, but not too sure if Canada accepts it as a valid travel document.

This scenario excludes Canadian Citizens with a US Permanent Residence. Of course you would be allowed to enter your home country. My wife is Belarussian.

She'll be fine. On the Canadian side they won't even look at an extension letter, and on return she'll show her expired GC and extension letter to the border agent.

My wife and I are traveling to Montreal in a couple of weeks. I'll let you guys know how it goes! We have the expired green card, the letter and her Indian passport.

Don't know about entry into Canada. US Green card holders don't need a visa to visit Canada but they may not have a problem with the Green Card with the extension letter.

Entry into the US is not an issue. We just got back from Mexico. Had an expired green card and the extension letter (no I-551 stamp on passport)
