I got my NOA1 on 9/21/11 which means it's been 5 months. So I called USCIS and was told that CSC is currently processing cases from 8/13/11, which means I can't put in a service request. Anyone have any ideas? :help:

well us its been 6 months and few days and still patiently waiting.. yeah sometimes it is so stressful, but we can't do anything but to wait

I filed on October 1st and got my NOA 2 a week ago. Life is just not fair as I WANTED and hoped that my approval would NOT come until April or at my preference May! (I have work commitments) So I am bitching because it was too speedy. :-) Go figure.

Any June, July or August filers want to trade spots with me?

just got to wait it out baby, I was losing my mind also we didn't exactly get NOA2 got RFE instead but better then nothing. You should here something within the next 1-2 months I'd say

Hi there,

I have a question for you, we got the RFE after 3 months of filing (NOA1) and we will send them what the wanted in few days. I wonder if we passed the "Initial Review" and this the next step, OR ... after they receive our RFE package, it'll take the same checking process (time wise)?

Do have any idea how long does it take for RFE to be approved?

Thank you in advance & Good Luck!

I have also completed 5 months with CSC and my NOA1 was dated 09/19/11. I called USCIS yesterday and they said they are still processing July 12th applications. It is strange. Don't know which one is true.

They asked me to wait 3 more months to receive the approval.

3 more months!? That's insane. 20% of the October filers on VJ are already approved. Did we end up in a stack on the new guy's desk or what?

9/19/11 - sent I-129F

9/21/11 - email NOA1

9/27/11 - hard copy NOA1

3/20/12 - congressional inquiry (6 months since NOA1)

4/4/12 - inquiry result: petition approved (still no NOA2 text/email/letter)

4/20/12 - packet 3 received from embassy

Tomorrow will mark my 5 months. I am sad to say it looks like I will fall into this category as well. Calling your Congressman doesn't look promising either. There has to be a better way to get there attention. It almost seems like certain files reach a desk where nobody is working/vacation of some sort. But others go right through. There should be some type of checks and balances in this process. At least a proactive message to the petitioner that they are aware that your application has reached it processing limitation. Something like that?

But oh well I guess i will have to play the waiting game just like everyone else. If I only knew what I know now. I would have petitioned my fiancee while I was still active duty. SMH.

I just called USCIS again and they said that CSC is currently processing Aug 2nd applications and it will take one month to process my case (NOA1 dated Sep 19th). When I called last week, someone said they are processing July 12th applications so it will take 3 months to process my case. I noticed that some Sep filers have already received their approvals. I am not sure how they go by to process the cases.

Anyway, hope mine gets approved at least by end of March.
