5 months, no RFE, no NOA2

I got my NOA1 on 9/21/11 which means it's been 5 months. So I called USCIS and was told that CSC is currently processing cases from 8/13/11, which means I can't put in a service request. Anyone have any ideas?

What I heard, it is now taking average timeframe 6.5 months. So Just wait a little while.

Wow so they told you they are processing 08/13. Thats so random today they told me they are still processing July 15th Apps.

K1 and IR1/CR1 have 2 different processing times

They probably just tell everyone who calls that they're still processing from 1 month before their NOA1.

it is only a few ago that they would of told you they was processing petitions from mid-June so there has been a lot of progress. there really isnt much you can do now but wait

I wouldn't heed too much attention to the dates they provide you with. We are going through Vermont Service Centre and they told us 3 weeks ago they were processing 25th August 2011 and just today they told us they are at 21st August 2011....!!! Argh! I recommend the congressperson approach. We contacted our local congresswoman and she was very helpful. She put in an inquiry and then told us that if we haven't heard from USCIS by the 1st March (our 6 month since NOA1 date) that she would have it expedited. Whether this will actually happen of not is another question but it can't hurt to ask...

Funny when I called last week I was told July 12, 2011. My NOA1 is June 16th...

I did contact my congressman and he was told that our case is with an officer and we should hear something in 45 days.

Yes more than half of September is approved and also, over 20% of October has already been approved on VJ. So what they are saying doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Hi fellow Japan filer We're still waiting for our NOA2 also. I would contact the congressman over your district and have them inquire on what's going on. That's what we did and she told us she couldn't do anything until another 30 days. But it's nice to have someone else looking over you. Best of luck and keep me updated on your progress!
