My interview is in a little more than a month, I'm trying to get everything ready. Can you check my interview document list and tell me if anything is missing?? Thanks!

- Appointment letter

- Passport

- 2 photos, 2x2

- receipts showing IV and AOS fees were paid

- courier enveloppe as requested by USEM Paris (Chronopost 2kg)

- medical examination results in sealed enveloppe

- new birth certificate, less than 3 months old + photocopy - specific to France

- new marriage certificate, less than 3 months old + photocopy - specific to France

- new French police record, less than 3 months old + photocopy - specific to France

- Turkish police record + photocopy

- DS-230 with corrected address where immigrant intends to live (my husband moved after case complete at NVC)

- Affidavit of support form with corrected address

- employment letter, pay stubs, and 2011 tax returns from my husband

- affidavit of support package from co-sponsor : form, tax transcripts and copy of US passport (not provided at NVC stage, just in case embassy requests a co-sponsor because my husband just moved back to the US and got a new job).

- lease contract

- letter from hubby's HR saying I will be added to his health insurance plan as soon as I arrive (I have a benign medical condition that requires daily medication)

- letter of reference and working contracts showing where I worked during my 4 years in Turkey

- evidence of bona fide marital relationship:

¤ joint bank account statements + signed document requesting hubby's personal account to be turned into joint account

¤ utility bills showing we lived together for 2 years in France

¤ invoice for joint health insurance plan in France

¤ photos of us together, including wedding pictures. Can I bring a scrapbooking album into the embassy? It has metal pieces (eyelets, brads, charms...) and it's quite big.

¤ e-mails and skype logs showing daily interaction since hubby went back to the US in January

¤ 2 affidavits from our friends we met through and who were the witnesses at our wedding

¤ wedding bands bill

How does it sound?? Some of these things are definitely optional but I'm trying to cover any possible question by the CO.

Everything looks perfect. :)

Would it be possible for you to make your photo-album in small size? Like 8.5x11" or something like that. I had wedding album in this format, so I could transfer it easily from their small window. It is most important that you can give your doc easily, so they can see the things. You can bring multiple photobook albums with alot of good design. :)

Most important thing is that if there was any doc that was submitted at the time of I-130, I-864 & IV Package, and if there is any possibility for any error or any minor mistake, then please bring the correct one. or some supporting doc for the same. If any of doc had any typographic mistake, it could lead a problem.

Don't waste paper for printing alot of skype logs/email. since they wont care to check this as you guys already have been living together for long time and have alot of other strong evidence. but just in case if they ask, so bring some copies of this. Dont bring all copies since they dont want to look into your private life.

Good luck!

Everything sounds good. Try and reduce the size of the album because it will definitely not fit through the CO's interview slot. Make sure you also have pictures of both of you with family members...wish you success

Well, everything that came with the IV package is covered with what I'm bringing. I can also take a copy of the last tax transcript sent with the I-864 package.

For the I-130, I sent copies of the utility bills and joint account evidence I mentioned, so I'll be bringing the originals. I had sent travel itineraries, I can add that to my list. I can also re-print the forms themselves (I-130 and G-325A) but I'm positive they were good (noticed a typo in my DS-230 last week :bonk: )

Yeah I don't want them to read too much private correspondance between me and my husband either! So I'm just printing some sample emails. Skype logs are good because they don't disclose too much

I have a small photo album but it's not like the big pretty scrapbook. I'm very proud of my scrapbooking skills :P (I didn't do this album for the interview, I've been working on it for years).

Paris is supposed to be an easy embassy and I don't want to be overloaded with evidence, but I'm also the worrying kind so I want to have anything I may possibly need with me.

We don't have very many pictures of us with other people, we're kind of specializing in self portraits

We do have wedding pictures with family though.

Actually I'm bringing the whole husband with me to the interview. He can show his passport in person :D

Looks like your list is complete Laure! good.gif

If you want to add more evidence for proof of relationship, here is an excellent thread I recommend: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/284203-evidences-of-bona-fide-marriage-relationship/

And to help you prepare for the interview itself (if you want, of course), there's this link to a BUNCH of questions: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Consular_Interview_Questions

Thanks! I just looked at the 1st thread and it reminded me that my husband added me to his car insurance policy! I'll ask him to bring that.

My husband did the same thing, so I brought along a copy of his car insurance with both our names on it. Not that any evidence was requested at my interview, but I felt a lot better knowing I had everything I could.

Good thing i read this post - i was going to begin my own - admittedly not quite required for some time but i want to begin preparation of the proof of ongoing relationship/marraige etc

I was going to ask what format fellow VJers are using for their compilation of photos/skype logs/receipts/past travel docs (for me)etc?

I was looking at the scrapbook thing - but i see thats probably too big for the hole?

I looked at walmart today- didnt really see anything that could hold photos AND letter sized papers etc (printed logs/docs)

Where are y'all finding these albums/books? Care to share?

Also - as far as skype logs go - what exactly are you printing? just the log of call made/call ended?

Thanks in advance...

Paris really is easy. When my sweetheart went through, they just wanted the essential papers. Anything else was useless. They did not even look at the skype records, emails, etc.

You are more than good shape. Expect the interview to last no more than 5-10 minutes.

For the pictures, I have this smallish album, it's about 1/3 the size of a regular sheet of paper. I'll still bring the scrapbooks, at least we can look at them while we wait

Then for the paperwork, I have this thing... I have no idea how you call that in English:

Yeah I'm aware that most of the stuff I'll bring won't come out of my bag, but it would kill me if the CO asked for something and I didn't have it! I'd rather be over-prepared than sorry :P
