Hello. I need your help guys because we put at the I-I30 form the address of my husband's sister where we intend to live. We are still here in the Philippines and finalizing the forms before printing out. My question is:

will my husband's sister be our co-sponsor automatically since we are living on her house temporarily? I dont really have an idea. Can we find another co-sponsor though we will intend to live to my husband's sister? Please help me.. Thanks. I know it is too ealry to ask because we are not yet filing.

Thanks.

God is good all the time..

I believe where you intend to live and the cosponsor's address do not have to be the same. You can live anywhere you choose.

Being as though the both of you are currently residing overseas, the address that you place on the form is generally for the purpose of USCIS to send your documents to in the US. Kind of like fraud prevention. They will send your GC and additional items such as SSC to that stateside address so it must be someone you can trust. You do not have to live there and there fore that person does not have to be your co-sponsor. You do not need a co-sponsor if your sponsor can meet all your needs(financially) and is a USC.
