Hi so someone suggested now that we got NOA2 and the NVC Have sent our petition out. I should get a record of my vaccinations and also have some vaccinations done before medical? Is this correct, anyone from Ireland give some info on this also? Also i dont know if a tetanus vacc is required but i had one of those couple years ago from a doctor in the states, should i need a record from him to?

Yes, get your records now. Your childhood GP may have a record, or your HSE.

The tetanus, I think, is only needed if you haven't had one for 10 years, so you should be good there. In any case, if like me you've never had one, the visa medical doc can give it to you right there, no extra charge.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Hey thanks so what shots do i need to get in advance like i hear everyone talking about? Theres no information on the US embassy dublin sight about vaccinations. Which should i get done prior to interview?

The official list is here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1331.html But some of the vaccinations are only for certain ages (such as rota virus for kids). Basically, if you have had all your childhood vaccinations as is normal in Ireland, you will be ok.
