I need a estimation of how much it can cost to build a regular 3brs 1bath 1200 sq in frankling or hampshire counties in MA.

Does anyone knows anything about building a house?

Its pretty easy to use Google to look up contractors and home builders in your state. I just did it and found a whole bunch.

that's a loaded question...it's like asking how much does it cost to buy a car except you should add a few zeros to your price. it really depends on what kind of house you want built.

as someone who had a house built in MA...here are some thoughts to your question.

1. do you want to have a traditional stick build house or pre-fab?

2. what materials do you want in the house...granite vs. wood countertops, baseboard heating vs. radiators vs. central heat/cool, plaster vs. drywall, etc.

3. hardwood floors or laminate or carpet or tile

4. I can go on forever.

All i know is that you should hire an architect if you want to design your own house and get a good, honest contractor that you would trust your life with. on the cheap side, you could build a house for as little as $100/sq ft. but in MA where everything costs more, expect to pay between $120 - $200 depending on what kind of house you're building
