Hello.

I contacted USCIS today to speak with a person so that I could pursue them to place a "Service Request" ticket on my case, however, they recently changed the menu options.

Does anyone know the order of options that we need to select in order to speak with a representative?

The options I had before were these -

1 - English

2 - Processes

2 - Pending Case

3 - RFE

1 - Speak with representative.

If anyone has called USCIS in he last week can you provide information on how to speak with someone please. Thank you.

What always works for me is....I dont choose any options and I remain on the line until someone pick up. They will think its someone calling from a rotary phone. They normally answer the phone in spanish, if you need english just say "English please." Good luck!

Not pressing any options does not work. The automated message with simply say to call back later from another phone.

I also selected the Spanish options and there is no way to get in contact with a live person through that either.

Thanks Alaska, completely forgot about that holiday. I will try tomorrow and post any updates.

Today is a federal holiday. No one will answer your call. Call again tomorrow. Just select the option where it says you want to find the "status" of your option. Enter your USCIS receipt number. It will then give you the latest automated status update for your particular application and ask you to press "5" if you want to talk to a live person.

It's really quite simple. You are getting thrown off because today no one is available.

I called USCIS #######-line today and got told they are working on "July 12" applications, even though they have been on this date since the beginning of the month. The options to get through to a live person were -

1 - English

2 - Processes

2 - Pending Case

3 - RFE

1 - Speak with representative.

The agent told me to wait 2-3 weeks, which then I processed to ask "what is the next step after 2-3 weeks" and I was told that I will have to wait some more depending on what date they are processing applications. Agent would not send a Service Request. I will be writing to my senator this week to see what else can be done.

Just wanted to give you guys an update that they are still working on July 12 applications.
