Hello Everyone,

I am a 16 year old teenager currently residing in Virginia. I was naturalized automatically last summer when my Mom was sworn into allegiance. My mom and dad are not married, and it has been a while since I have seen my dad. I wish for him to gain a visa to come to the states even if it is for just visiting. Do not let my age fool you, I operate a successful business and know how to talk to adults. I recognize the educated members of this forum will respect my age, however treat me no different than any other user.

I have been contemplating whether or not the validity of a 16 year old filing a form for his dad's visa would be viable or even legal.

But luckily, I have my own corporation. My dad is a man who invested considerable amounts of money overseas in my company, and has gained the position of being in my Board Of Directors. In my corporate bylaws I have stated that all members of the board of directors must join together for an annual meeting. Would I, representing a corporation, be able to file a request for his visa?

He owns 30% of the company, and my corporate bylaws state that although some meetings may occur through the internet or phone, the annual BOD meeting must be in person in my office. With all

members signing off their signature?

Which avenue to get my dad here has the highest chance of success? Would I be able to pursue both? They are both legitimate reasons, and my dad has no desire to choose America as his permanent home.

Thank you for all responses

Your dad would have to apply for B-1 business visitor visa at the American embassy in his country. You cannot make a request on his behalf.

As usual, he will have to demonstrate ties to his home country and the ability to financially support himself while he is in the USA.

However, your company can write an invitation letter for him stating the purpose of his business visit and it would help him to bring that to the visa interview.

You can find more information specifically to the B-1 visa at the Business Visa Center

As a backup open an Office in Mongolia.

Just in case.
