That's exactly what I was thinking, elbow in for more stability and less fatigue. Use the lats to take the recoil more. I wonder if she's started to work on her breathing technique, yet. I think she'd look good with a Winchester 1300 Marine Defender in her hand.

:thumbs:for sure.

1. Aim

2. Breath

3. Relax

4. Squeeze

Oh the fundamentals of sending those rounds down range and on target!

I am very partial to Winchseter products, but that 1300 Marine defender comes with a steap price tag, that Mossberg 590 would fit the little lady perfectly, and she'd have a few bucks left to go shopping.

I have had a Mossberg 590 and it was very nice but she would probably be happier with a 500 Super Bantam or even the 88. Both are less unwieldy. Winchester 1300 MARINE defender is what it is but it is a quality product. Before you aim, before you breath,or relax or squeeze the trigger you MUST take this message into your heart. It's a lot more zen than most of us are used to but people need to understand it, I know you do:

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I will. My rifle and I know that what counts is not the rounds I fire, the noise of the burst, or the smoke I make. I know that it is the hits that count. I will hit.

My rifle is human, even as I am human, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other.

Before God I swear this creed.

Oh boy, you bring back some serious memories of learning that creed, and having to do 'bends-and-thrust' or run outside to get in the 'pit' because the normal 10% clown factor in the platoon just couldn't get it.

Yeah the 1300 Defender is good once she develops an appreciation for a quality weapon. With the Mossberg she can beat it up and no biggy, the 1300 with that nice nickel shine should be handled with a bit of TLC.

I see you aware of it also, it's hard to describe. You literally must become one.

Spooks, contrary to popular opinion, you really do have a GR8 sense of humor, and not just a cynical one.

The guy is going out of his way to hold and get close to a nearly nude smoking hot chic, and he has to fight a case of muzzle rise, or erection situation...Nice!

Can't let this settle to the back pages.

My fiancee reminded me the other day that I promised to take her out shooting. Hmm, my Kimber 1911 or my S&W 629 .44 mag...?? Decisions, decisions

I think in reality I will start with my Ruger Mark II Government model, bull barrel, amazingly accurate.
