Regardless of your income, you will need to complete a form I-134, then the co-sponsor will also fill in an I-134, plus all the extra supporting documentation. I can only really specify what I needed, different US countries around the world may need more. The good news is it's VERY black and white, in my experience it wasn't an issue at all that my now wife (the US Citizen) was unemployed because our co-sponsor met the guidelines. Basically they MUST make 125% of poverty, which depends on the household size, but if they make it on income alone, it's a much easier process. Feel free to pm me if you like we can discuss this further, I'm MORE than happy to help because I needed so much help from people on VJ for this. So yes the I-134 is the only Affidavit of Support you will need, but remember to include the necessary documentation to go along with it.

Good luck, and yes feel absolutely free to pm me!

Thank you and I will pm you sometime. thanks for the advice.

I know at the consular office in my fiance's country (Morocco), they've required both the I-134 and the I-864, along with the appropriate tax documents during the interview in several cases. So my thoughts are that it can't hurt to have all of these things already put together and in your fiance's possession before the interview, just in case. If you don't need all of them at that time, then you're already prepared for when you do need them. But better to have them a little early than to not have what they want to see during the interview and have your process delayed... Best of luck to you both!

If that is true, as I said it may very well differ around the country, then you should get the co-sponsor to order tax 'return' transcripts from the IRS, they can be ordered here:

https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof-tra/start.do

They take 5-10 days to arrive in the mail, they are also free! Get the last three available. That is recommended for the I-864, not required for the I-134

Good luck and yep I'll check for PMs
