Any February 2012 filers?

I think the misconception about the processing time is that everyone thinks 5 months is when you reach the 5 month mark. I contacted my senator to request assistance in expediting my application thinking my 5 month processing window was reached, but USCIS considers 5 month processing to include a full 5 months. If you filed February 1st, then 5 months is reached on July 1st but they consider that 5 month window to be completed before heading into your 6 month. Technically the 5 month window would be before August 1st and not by July 1st.

well either way some of us are already beyond that full 5 months time and still nothing ;) wish all those theories worked with the USCIS but they are not :(

Oh I am seriously freaked out now... my fiancé just called me to tell me that one of his coworkers died over the weekend and there are grief councillors at work and everything... the freaky part is that this coworker was also going through the visa process, and he has a fiancee in Canada too. That is seriously one of my biggest fears. I wish I could reach out to this lady :(

It's an awful time for us all, especially considering what is happening with CSC being so far ahead. We have had to pretty much cancel all our plans now until next year which is really emotional for both of us. My fiance got in touch with her Congressman last week but I don't know how much it will help. The woman in his office said he would like to help us but after only 5 months I really don't know how much he can do.

that is so sad... I am always thinking how horrible it would be if something happened to my fiance and I couldn't even be beside him... and death? OMG I feel for this poor woman...

Me too. I think Tom thought I was being a little irrational when I said something morbid like this a few months ago... but now it's really hitting home :( I can't even imagine...
