Hey I got a question, when we go by our "NOA1 date" do we use the date that we recieved the hard copy at home(feb 16) or the email? because my case status says this on the uscis website

"On February 13, 2012, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case."

i know its not a BIG deal but want to be accurate to help everyone else.

I agree with Marry. I think since emails and texts and also mails can be delayed by various factors, it is better to use the official date printed on the letter. Like we got the NOA2 email on July 6, but the printed date on the letter is July 5. And I saw the actual mail on July 9 since I was away that weekend :D

I gave them my receipt number every day. They would look it up and say "oh you have another few weeks call back later". Then one day I called and I gave them my receipt number and they asked for my birthday and my fiancee's (and our names). Then they told us they had received it. Now when I call in every day I have to give them my case number, our birthdays and our names.

Thanks

Thanks for the info, Scott. That's very helpful!! I'm hoping I'm in that waiting period versus the NOA2 waiting period soon.

Hey, I received NOA 1 at the same date with you on FEB 29th, I haven't heard anything from them, after RFE, I believe another week or two, your NOA 2 will arrive, so stay positive, at least u hear something, I am getting sooooooo frustrated

on the plus side, they REVIEWED YOUR CASE, which is more than alot of us have gotten :D

just dont waste time sending the RFE back and you might get a answer sooner than you think!!!

I think you are totally right, an RFE at least means they looked at your case, mine, I have no idea when it's my turn

So you are calling everyday now to see when they send your case out? It sounded like you received your case number already.

I have been calling everday and they just ask for receipt number. When were not in the system is when they ask for the NOA2 date. They are still saying 15 business days..

Ok, i just called back again and waited only 25 minutes this time.. Talked to someone different, haha.. He said I'm in the system and it can take 10-20 business days. 10 less business days is 2 weeks, thats huge in our our world... I expect just waiting for the embassy to attach a case number, hoping it just takes a couple days like has been the norm.

I just called the NVC and they are sending my case to Moldova. It took them only 2 days to process it as the NVC. I think most K1 Visa's are processed at the NVC anywhere from 3-7 days.

Finally my K1 application/case is out of the United States. Thank the God. My fiancee might actually be here by August 1.

K1 Process -

1/30/12 - I-129F sent

2/2/12 - NOA1 Received (CSC)

2/3/12 - Visa App Fee Check Cashed

6/18/12 - NOA2 Email Received at 9PM MST

6/22/12 - NOA2 Letter Received in Mail

7/11/12 - NVC Received

7/13/12 - NVC Sent Case to Moldova Embassy

7/18/12 - Packet 3 dropped off to Embassy

7/19/12 - Packet 3 & 4 Instructions Received from Embassy

7/23/12 - Medical Exam Passed

7/27/12 - Interview

8/4/12 - POE Denver, CO

9/14/12 - Wedding #1 (Denver Courthouse)

9/17/12 - AOS/EAD sent

9/19/12 - AOS/EAD NOA1

Since VSC is going to take forever huh.gif and the London Embassy will tack on a another 2+ months blink.gifand I refuse to let them put a damper on my life...wacko.gif

I think Julian is just going to come on over for a visit and stay until his interview, or rather, if he comes now, he'd have to go back in time to complete his medical so it can be sent to the Embassy in time for the interview.

Before we seriously consider just doing it this way, can anyone think of a reason this would be a bad idea? The only thing that comes to mind is an RFE, so we might wait until our approval or RFE in case they need something from over on his side of the pond and then fly him over.

other than that... both of us are just ready for a date to look forward to and since that's taking for *$#$&@$ ever...

Why is everyone thinking VSC is slower? To have your NoA2 and get it to NVC and out with in a week is...its pretty much the same as it was. CSC you get your NoA2 wait for them to have enough to send to NVC and then wait for 20-25 days is just crazy talk. I will still be content with VSC processing time with the NVC included pretty much evens out.
